Some topics that I found most interesting in my classmates blog was about how she planned on using a Power Point to teach her kids the 50 states and their capitols. I thought that that was an interesting idea. I honestly don't know all of the capitols of the 50 states and that's because none of my teachers ever stresses learning the capitols. I think that if she does do it, though, she make a little song to go along with it. That would be fun.
A technology related skill that I would like to learn next is how to use Excel for my personal expenses. I know that it can be done, but I don't how to do it. I have a friend whose Dad uses excel to keep the family expenditures and I think that that's so cool. It'll take some time to do. I think that i'm going to start after I graduate...when I start to have bills. *YIKES*
I think my educational technology-related goals are very reachable. I don't require much. A projector, a computer and Microsoft Office programs are all I really need. I think that since I plan on teaching Elementary students, I don't need too much technology because they have short attention spans and computers can be very distracting. They are in a college setting, so I know they must be extremely distracting in elementary school.
